Centurion was recently awarded another project with our trusted Partner, Geisinger / Holy Spirit at their Main Campus in Camp Hill, PA. The Project entails the fit out of the 1st and 4th Floors of the Plaza 21 Building behind the Dunkin Donuts on North 21st Street to house a Dermatology / MOHS Suite providing another element of care to the myriad of services available to the community at this particular Geisinger / Holy Spirit Site. Construction is underway and the suite is scheduled to accept patients in May/June 2018.
Dr. Wayne Gordner’s practice is focused on the practice of Dentistry known as Prothodontics, which is the art and science of the restoration of natural teeth and/or the replacement of missing teeth or tissue with artificial substitutes.
Centurion became involved with this project when Dr. Gordner was contemplating the purchase of a property in Camp Hill to provide additional and more fitting space for his growing practice. Working closely with Dr. Gordner and his wife Cathy, Centurion developed a renovation/addition Scope of Work and Budget for the existing property that met the practice requirements, assisted the Gordner’s with technical advice in the purchase of the property and are currently working on progressing the property through the Permitting and Approvals Phase.
Construction is scheduled to commence on the new practice for Gordner Dentistry around Mid/End of October 2017.
Centurion Construction was contracted by Geisinger / Holy Spirit to coordinate and complete an Operating Room Video Integration Project within multiple OR’s in Holy Spirit Hospital. The project involved intense ICRA Requirements to protect the surrounding OR’s (which were in operation during construction). It also involved modifications to the existing Med Gas, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and Structural Systems within each OR to provide a Video Integration System to allow the Surgeon’s to more safely and efficiency complete their surgical procedures.
The project was completed on weekends and during off hours to minimize our impact on the everyday patient within these areas. The project was completed on schedule to the great satisfaction of the Geisinger / Holy Spirit Surgical Staff.
Paxton Ministries are doing great things for the Central PA community as a Christian non-profit organization, and we are privileged to have been the selected contractor to provide their residents with upgraded restroom facilities.
Centurion Construction was awarded the Gamma Knife Renovation and Installation Project at Holy Spirit’s Cancer Center in Mechanicsburg, PA. Gamma Knife treatment is a form of radio surgery superior to the linear accelerator treatment. Gamma Knife treatment involves the use of concentrated beams of radiation to treat and eradicate cancer in the brain without ever having to make an incision, greatly decreasing the risk to the patient. Centurion Construction renovated the area in the back of the Holy Spirit Cancer Center and worked closely with the rigging team and the Elekta physicists to successfully install the new piece of equipment and further Holy Spirit’s already vast array of cancer treatments for its patients in Central PA.
